Meet Emily

Hello and welcome! I'm Emily, the creator of Little Paws Education and the author of the Parmesan & Reggiano Adventures series.

I am a proud mom to my daughter, an early childhood educator at heart, and a lifelong believer in the power of reading, imagination, and learning through play.

My journey in education began in the classroom as an early childhood educator, where I had the privilege of working directly with young children during some of the most important years of their development. Today, I continue my passion for education by working in higher education, supporting current and future early childhood educators. I also serve as an adjunct professor, helping prepare the next generation of teachers who will inspire young learners for years to come.

For as long as I can remember, I dreamed of writing children's books. Throughout my career, I saw firsthand how stories spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and help children make sense of the world around them. I always knew that one day I wanted to create stories of my own.

That inspiration truly came to life when I adopted two very special cats: Parmesan and Reggiano. Their unique personalities, playful antics, and incredible bond quickly stole my heart. Before long, I found myself imagining the adventures they might have if they could travel to magical places and solve problems together. What started as a simple idea soon grew into the Parmesan & Reggiano Adventures series.

Through these stories, my goal is to create engaging adventures that encourage imagination, problem-solving, kindness, friendship, and a love of learning. I believe children learn best when they are having fun, and I hope each adventure inspires young readers to explore, wonder, and dream big.

When I'm not writing, teaching, or creating educational resources, you can often find me spending time with my family, reading children's books, brainstorming new adventures for Parmesan and Reggiano, or enjoying quiet moments with the very cats who inspired it all.
